The short version: FindAPestGuy.com is a free service that connects New Jersey homeowners with NJ DEP licensed pest control professionals. We match you with a pro — they do the actual work. We're not responsible for the quality of the work performed by our partners, but we vet them for proper licensing. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FindAPestGuy.com (the "Site") operated by FindAPestGuy.com ("we," "us," or "our"), a New Jersey-based marketing and matching platform headquartered in Verona, NJ.

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

2. What FindAPestGuy.com is (and isn't)

What we are

FindAPestGuy.com is a marketing and matching platform. We connect New Jersey homeowners with independent, NJ DEP licensed pest control professionals ("Service Providers") in our partner network.

What we are NOT

We are not a pest control company. We do not perform extermination, rodent control, wildlife removal, or any other pest control services. We do not employ the Service Providers in our network — they are independent businesses that contract with you directly.

Important: When you submit a quote request through our Site, you will be matched with a Service Provider who will contact you to schedule services. Any contract for pest control services is between you and that Service Provider — not between you and FindAPestGuy.com.

3. How matching works

When you submit a quote request:

We share your name, contact information, ZIP code, and pest issue details with one or more Service Providers in our network.
The Service Provider(s) will contact you directly to schedule a free inspection or quote.
You decide whether to hire the Service Provider. There is no obligation to use the matched pro.
The Service Provider sets their own pricing, schedule, and service terms.

4. Our Service Provider vetting

We require every Service Provider in our network to:

Hold a current, active New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJ DEP) pesticide applicator license, typically Category 7A (General & Household Pest Control) or applicable specialty category
Be a registered business in New Jersey
Maintain general liability insurance
Operate locally within their stated service area

While we make reasonable efforts to verify these requirements, we do not guarantee or warrant the quality of work, professionalism, or business practices of any Service Provider. You are responsible for performing your own due diligence before hiring any Service Provider, including verifying their current licensing through the NJ DEP's public license search tool.

5. No warranties from FindAPestGuy.com

FindAPestGuy.com is a referral and matching service. We make no warranties or representations about:

The quality, safety, or effectiveness of services performed by any Service Provider
The pricing offered by Service Providers
The accuracy of information provided by Service Providers
The outcome of any pest control work

The Site and our matching service are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FindAPestGuy.com is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

Services performed (or not performed) by any Service Provider
Damage to property caused by Service Providers
Personal injury caused by Service Providers
Disputes between you and any Service Provider
Inability to use the Site or temporary unavailability

Any claim against FindAPestGuy.com is limited to the amount you paid us for the matching service — which, since our service is free to homeowners, is $0.

7. Disputes with Service Providers

If you have a dispute with a Service Provider matched through FindAPestGuy.com, you should first attempt to resolve the issue directly with that Service Provider. If unresolved, you may file a complaint with:

The NJ Department of Environmental Protection for licensing or pesticide-related concerns
The NJ Division of Consumer Affairs for general consumer complaints
The Better Business Bureau or applicable trade association

While we are not a party to disputes between homeowners and Service Providers, we appreciate being informed of significant issues so we can review the Service Provider's continued participation in our network. Email findapestguy@gmail.com.

8. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You will not:

Submit false or misleading information through our forms
Submit automated requests or use bots to spam our forms
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site
Use the Site to harass, defame, or harm any Service Provider or other party
Reproduce, scrape, or republish content from the Site without permission

9. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, design elements, and the FindAPestGuy.com name — is the property of FindAPestGuy.com or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute Site content without prior written permission.

10. Communications consent

By submitting a quote request, you agree that:

You consent to be contacted by FindAPestGuy.com and the Service Providers we match you with, by email, phone, or text message, at the contact information you provided.
You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to text messages, unsubscribing from emails, or contacting findapestguy@gmail.com.
Standard message and data rates may apply to text messages.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FindAPestGuy.com, its operators, and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or any dispute between you and a Service Provider.

12. Modifications to the Site or Terms

We may modify the Site or these Terms at any time. Material changes to the Terms will be communicated via the Site or by email. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any legal action arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Essex County, New Jersey. You waive any objection to that venue.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.
